ROOTS AND VALUES
As a life long resident, with a love for the city by the sea. Undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of city life and commercial vehicles passing through. Activities were assessible for the enjoyment of everyone young and old with a bowling alley, arcade, rides and two movie theatres. In time, those things change as many things do and unfortunately those activities that kept the community socially active, were replaced with restaurants/bars and high cost residency boasting ocean views and or proximity to NYC. At what cost?
At this time what we need more than ever, is a community.
Unplugged from screen time and intent on finding a solution to the symptoms we are avoiding with medication, alcohol, anger, isolation, the list goes on.
When you take away activities and social events that encourage and support socialization, you take away the ability to grow emotionally, and to mentally adjust and adapt to others. We learn to express ourselves not in a verbal or physically abusive manner.
We learn to coexist. We learn that Community requires UNITY.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
A local health care professional, providing services to the community while working as a Licensed Radiologic, and Mammography Technologist and Certified Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Scan) at the Long Beach Medical Center. I continued my educational growth in the health field when I studied Massage Therapy in 2006 and received my License in Massage Therapy in 2008.
In 2011, I decided to open my own business known as Body & Soul Massage Therapy in the heart of the business district in Long Beach.

When we rebuilt our city in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, I turned my massage business into a full time career. I am grateful for the residents and non residents who have supported me in the 14 years of business - as I always say "I can not do it without them".
